Can somebody please explain why does height matters so much even if it is just by a inch or two?

As a short girl (five foot even) I do want a tall guy (I don't know why I just do) however at five ten you do clify as tall. I could my highest pair of heels and you'd still be taller. Those other girls are crazy.
