Christian people - not wild people- regular Christians?

Is it true that God sold the jews into slavery. I remember something about Hittites. I'm a jew and I am asking because I think God has an absolute right to do anything to me he wants. I also beleive God is incapable of doing wickedness. If there are some genius folks out there I would appreciate your input. I appreciate your time so thank you for your help. If background helps I am a jew by birth, my brother has converted to Christianity. Also, I like to ask knowledgable people because my Rabbi definately has and agenda. The one thing I know about Christians is they won't lie. Atleast not when it comes to their Savior. Also is it true that I am one of the chosed people. I don't feel special. Indeed, when God chose I don't think he had me in mind. I am a savage person but I am trying to lead a better, more worthy life. At any rate, did God sell the Israilites into slavery. Everyone know he made us wonder in the desert for 40 years but I don't think people know that he sold us into slavery. Not because God is a bad god but because the Israelites behaved badly and were punished. I know he was upset with us because we asked for a king and he said I am you king but we bitched and moaned until he gave us Saul. At any rate I am asking Christians because it has been my experience that they study the bible more than Jews. As normal humans we tend to take things for granted.. One last time: Did God sell us into slavery and why. We must have done something bad.
