My mom is having these weird mood swings?

MENOPAUSE! Oh yeah... and a mid-life crisis mixed in. What happens is that people realize when they hit around 45-50 that life is really short so they start doing what they want to do and nothing is going to get in their way. My mother-in-law is like this. She gambles a lot and doesn't care if she loses all of her money because at least she's getting to do what she wants when she wants. Her voicemail message says: "I'll call you if I want to and I won't if I don't."
