Please Help me find this song!?

This song has been haunting me!! But it's staying in the back of my mind teasing me and I can't remember much about it. I think its by U2 or Coldplay or a kind of similar band. All i can say about the song is I think it talks about The singer having heard about things that the object of his affection has done and he's hurt and not happy about it. I think it was fairly popular, not sure if it was ever a radio hit, but it would have been from a while back..any ideas as to what it could be? I know this isn't much to go on.
