I wanted to try to finger my , im a guy. is that normal?

one day at school some guy who is not gay said that sometimes a guy will finger there bec it turns em on and there not gay, ive tried it...im scared...is that normal? i just put my finger kinda in, not all the way. please i need the help. im very emotional.
