Why did Christians legalize Marijuana in California, but ban Gay Marriage?

I guess it's because fundie Christians figured that by legalizing marijuana, all the non-fundie liberal people would be too stoned to vote, and thereby allowing the phobic hateful bigoted anti-Constitution Christians to stop Prob h8. They hoped that non-fundie liberal Californians would be too stoned to realize the horrific things that were going on. And I guess it worked. That's the only explanation that I can think of how something this ridiculous could have happened.
