Hey, Im 16 years old and a female. Im big boned and about 5'5. I get told alot i dont look that big and sometimes in the right clothes im happy with myself. Im 14stone but get told by doctors and everything one else i dont look as big as i way on the scales, i have a friends whos at 10stone and about the same size as me. Does any body have any good diet ideas, ive tryed a calorie counting diet before and i didnt find it worked very well. And ive also tryed the atkins diet but everytime i just make myself ill. I also tryed not so much starving myself but eatting breakfast lunch and tea, but tiny and i mean TINY amounts but because i suffer with headaches i tend to get them alot. i try to do as much exercise as possible aswell. But im just one of those people who take ages to lose weight but puts it back on in a flash. hellppp!!!:)

This man is not going to change. He...and I am sorry to say this to you...is a bad person at heart. He is miserable for some reason and takes it out on other people and makes other people like you and your family feel miserable and that probably makes him happy. That is wrong. I have kind of been there and after years of being SO unhappy, left him and he begged and begged and cried and promised to change, but I am so happy w/o him and after I left him I gained a whole new type of confidence in myself. He made me feel so ugly and before I knew it I had gained 40 pounds and did not realize it, but after I was done with him I told myself I was beautiful and had to be strong for my daughter and I did just that I lost those 40 pounds. I found a wonderful man that I am still with and have a baby on the way and I would not want it any different. Your ex does not deserve you and you and your family do not deserve that sort of mental abuse. He will not change, my ex didnt..he is getting re-married and I KNOW that he cheats on her just like he did me b/c he has told me so. Two problems with my two daughters? Mothers help!?

My wife is in Mexico helping at an orphanage. She left this morning. We have 2 daughters (6 and 8) and I am watching them of course. She is gone for 6 days. Our night had been good so far until my 8 year old go their period. My wife hasn't had the talk with her yet so my daughter panicked. I tried the best that I could to explain to her about it and I put her in the bath tub. I searched through my wife's stuff and found a pad or whatever and tried my best to put it in for her. There isn't too much blood but enough to scare her. She then complained about a bad stomach ache (cramps) and a head ache so I gave her children's advil and held snuggled her for a while (she was crying). Then my 6 year old came by and said that she missed her mom and was crying. Have I done the right thing? I put my 8 year old in front of the TV to get her mind of her stomach and tried to calm the 6 year old down. I rocked her, I tried distracting her by playing with her, I've held her, I've read to her but she won't quit whining about it and crying. She is currently whimpering on my lap and the 8 year old still isn't feeling well. What can I do this about this? I can't call my wife. How can I get my 6 year old to stop crying? Any suggestions? Will she be like this for the whole week? Is it abnormal for the 8 year old to be having her period?

Failing college engineering at top 3 program?

In high school I got mostly A's. I studied really hard. I didn't take many physics/math though. I only took up to ap calc AB and didnt' take ap physics and I got into a top engineering program at a school that rivals MIT. Now I'm failing. I study my off but I still fail. TTC...why am i not prego yet?

My husband and I have been TTC for months now with no luck. I have been monitoring my cycles, and for the past 3 months have been using OPK's. We are BDing when Im most fertile and when im not most fertile. We have tried both methods. We have tried every day during fertile time, and every other day because we got advice on both methods. we mostly BD before we go to bed, so i elevate my hips and sometimes fall asleep that way. I have been using prenatals for the past few months as well. This month, im on day 20 right now of my cycle, i have had all negative OPKs. I have been testing twice a day too. I believe I have already O'd because i was montoring my CM, but im not sure. this has never happened. I usually O around day 15-16. This month, I started using the Maca root extract, and I dont know if this is the reason of the negative OPKs, and im not sure if we are doing everything right. Im 25 and i have never been pregnant and so is there something else i need to do to raise our chances? i have been to the doctor for a preconception screening and everything. she cleared me, so am i doing something wrong? Also, have you heard good or bad about maca helping with TTC, and if so, what kind of maca was used?

Why does laptop restart occasionally when I touch the left built in speaker (JBL Pro)?

If I have been away from my laptop (a Compaq from 2004) for a while and I put my hand on the left front corner (where the speaker is built in) it will occasionally restart. Yes, it is so much easier than trying to keep track of every row. Have you tried the doilies in the "Nihon Vogue" pattern books? They are all done that way. Sore throat from propane fumes?

I work in a factory that produces plastic car bumpers, and on many of the products we produce, we have to use propane torches to flame the excess plastic on the parts. Every shift that I work on a part that requires flaming with a propane torch, the back of my throat swells and gets sore, and I have a lot of trouble swallowing, and a little trouble breathing if it gets bad. The torches are supposedly made to eliminate propane fumes while burning, but I don't understand why I'm having these problems. Could it be from fumes from the burning plastic? Or maybe just inhaling the hot gas? I don't know. I'm lost, I really don't know what to do. I'm afraid that if they determine that I can't work around these torches, that I'll lose my job and won't be able to take care of my family. What should I do?

ok um first, you can't skip a meal. by skipping a meal you are causing your body to retain all the food that you consume, because your body thinks that it is starving, this in turn slows down your matabilisim, making it work sluggishly so you will have to work twice or even three times as hard just to see small results. my suggestion, eat more!!!!!! i mean, to be honest, you can eat how many calories as you want as long as you burn them off!!!! besides if you are exersizing too much you will become anarexic, and no that is not only a disease for ppl who dont eat ne thing it is also a disease for ppl who work off more than they are consuming. so my suggestion, sure keep an eye on how much you are eating, but DON"T skip meals, and make sure you are not working off more calories than you are consuming. Loosing weight is fine, as long as you don't hurt yourself in doing it

Without English Literature at A level I'm afraid you won't be able to do it as a degree; universities just will not accept you for a Literature course without it because it's too much of a step up. If you're really pionate about doing it then I think you should try and find a way - see if you can take English Literature for A level somewhere or something. There may be a handful of unis which will take you on without it and you could try for these, but it all honesty those ones may not be worth going to.

About the wild parakeet!! getting into my bird cage!!!?

Ok you know how I told you guys that a liberated parakeet got into the cage yesterday.(I guess I shouldn't use wild parakeet since the US is not a keet's natural habitiat Australia is). I took the keets that I had before out of the cage and put them on their playstand. I took the cage with the newcomer outside and left the cage open. The prof and other students (it's a real small cl) seem annoyed with me and even mock me at times. I am usually the only person that will challenge people's opinions on Chavez, the Canadian health care system, or pulling the troops out of iraq immediately. The students seem to have all grown up in a very similar environment, get their news from Jon Stewart, and all have the same opinions and talking points.
